API 5L ERW Pipe is produced under the American Petroleum Institute specifications. The pipes are used in transporting petroleum products and other along a long line of pipes. Therefore the pipes have to be strong, corrosion resistant and wear resistant.
Navstar Steel is a leading supplier and manufacturer of the API 5L X52 ERW Pipe and other types in the 5L standard. The material has high wear and tear resistance. It is a carbon steel that is tough and has high stress resistance. The API 5L Welded Pipe is produced from a strip or a piece of carbon steel plate or sheet.
The welding procedure takes place either spirally or longitudinally. The pipes range in dimensions as well. The API 5L X65 Welded Pipe can be of various lengths such as single random, double random or custom made cut to sizes. The thicknesses of the pipes vary according to the schedules. The schedules vary from 5s through 160 and XXS. The API 5L X42 ERW Pipe is used in high stress environments. The material has 490MPa minimum tensile strength and 240MPa minimum yield strength.
